With a sharper focus on sustainability and low emissions compliance, the need for innovative technology and machinery has become essential for the lifting industry. Mini cranes are already more environmentally friendly with their low carbon footprint compared with larger cranes. The Stockholm-based crane rental company Krankungen AB has bought Sweden’s first Maeda MC285CB-3. An innovative mini crane that delivers the capacity, reliability and flexibility that is currently demanded by the most demanding operators. With a large lithium battery, this fully electrically powered mini crane can be used for long periods with impressive lifting values ​​- completely without emissions. The crane has been sold and delivered by Kranlyft Group, which is the exclusive distributor for Maeda in Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.

In connection with the product launch of the Maeda MC285CB-3 last year, we saw the usual MC285C-3 being further developed into an even more versatile and more environmentally friendly model. The lithium battery is manufactured by Toshiba and its large capacity means that a Maeda MC285CB-3 can be used continuously for approximately 9 hours and then be fully charged in just 3.5 hours. Continuous operation is possible during charging, and this was one of the many advantages that made Krankungen feel comfortable with the decision to become the owners of Sweden’s first battery-powered Maeda. Improved working environment, energy efficiency and very low maintenance costs also contributed to the decision to invest in battery-powered machines. With battery operation, the crane can work in the most sensitive environments, indoors and outdoors, without disturbing cables or fuel cans.

As a crane rental company, Krankungen needs to be able to fully trust its machines both when it comes to safety and function. This has resulted in them choosing to own mini cranes from Maeda from the start in 2012. With a well-maintained machine park and a high level of service, the customer is put first and by developing in line with market needs, Krankungen has grown to become one of the Nordic region’s largest machine rental companies with a focus on mini cranes. The Stockholm-based crane company Edins Kranar AB has taken delivery of the first Klaas K1003 sold in Sweden. The K1003 is a truck-mounted aluminum crane that boasts many market-leading qualities such as a maximum lifting height of 52m and an impressive 6000 kg in lifting capacity. The crane is produced by the German crane and aerial lift manufacturer Klaas and has been sold and delivered by Kranlyft Group as the exclusive dealer in Sweden.

As one of the larger Klaas truck cranes the K1003 impresses with a maximum hook load of 6000 kg and a winch capacity of 3000 kg. All this with a maximum outrigger width of less than 6 m. Making it ideal in tight construction situations where space is limited and loads needs to be lifted with a long reach. It is mounted on a three-axle Mercedes-Benz Actros 2530 truck with a rear steerable axle. Thus manoeuvrability and comfortable handling are ideally combined with the enormous reach of the aluminium boom.

The model is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic fly jib, double derricking cylinders, TFR boom system, twin luffing cylinders, crane control system, telescopic winch, electric hybrid drive and much more. Features as radio remote control, personal safety mode, 360 degrees continuous rotation, and automatic leveling comes as standard. The hybrid drive makes the machine even more environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient.

The maximum lifting height of 52.75 m allows for the K1003 to shine in most challenges as it have set new standards in the segment of mobile cranes with an aluminum boom. In regards to the working range; a load of 3000 kg can be transported 11 m, a load of 2000 kg can be transported 18.5 m and a load of 250 kg can be transported up to 44 meters. Unique for these performance values is that the maximum outrigger width is less than 6 m.

Eddie has been in the construction industry all of his working life, for 10 years running the UK and European arm of Digga UK, manufacturing and selling Auger Drives and associated parts to dealerships all over Europe. And for the last 4 years he has been working for Plantforce Rentals as National Sales Manager, looking after major projects, key clients and depot management, hiring heavy plant on a national basis. Since the 1st of March 2020, Kranlyft Group is the exclusive distributor of Glassworkers’ products for the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian market including Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. The Glassworker range consists of suction disc units, panel suction units, transport units and complete mounting machines. Manufacturing is done in Germany with a strong focus on quality, durability and safe operations.

The distribution contract has been agreed and signed by Kranlyft Group’s CEO Jurgen Vater and Uplifters’ CEO’s Martin Lobinger and Sebastian Bayer. Uplifter GmbH is the sole owner of the Glassworker brand.

With twelve products in the range and growing, Glassworker has set the aim to be the market leader in the vacuum gear segment. The glass assembly cranes for glass plates and windows can quickly lift to lower heights and allow very precise positioning. These mounting machines have an all-electric drive and are thereby environmentally friendly and can be used indoors as well as outdoors. For higher heights the separate suction discs units can be mounted on a Maeda Mini Crane and achieve vast flexibility. The vacuum lifting equipment is perfect for construction projects with both small and large window sections that require precise mounting. The largest mounting machine, GW 625, has a load capacity of up to 625 kg and is built to manage triple-glazed windows with ease. German crane and aerial lift manufacturer Klaas has released its latest innovation – the Klaas K1100 RSX. The model is a truck-mounted aluminum crane that boasts many market-leading qualities such as a maximum lifting height of 60m and a bearish 6000kg in lifting capacity. The model was first shown at the Dach + Holz exhibition and has received great interest from the market for its immense reach capabilities.

As one of the larger Klaas truck cranes the K1100 impresses with a maximum hook load of 6000 kg and a winch capacity of 2500 kg. All this with a maximum outrigger width of less than 6 m. Making it ideal in tight construction situations where space is limited and loads needs to be lifted with a long reach.

This new model is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic fly jib, double derricking cylinders, TFR boom system, twin luffing cylinders, crane control system, telescopic winch, separate diesel motor drive concept, extendable counterweight and much more. Features as radio remote control, personal safety mode, 360 degrees continuous rotation, and automatic leveling comes as standard. Hybrid drive is available as an option allowing the machine to be more environmentally-friendly and more fuel-efficient.

The maximum lifting height of 60 m allows for the Klaas K1100 RSX to shine in most challenges as it sets new standards in the segment of mobile cranes with an aluminum boom. In regards to the working range; a load of 2000 kg can be transported 23 m, a load of 1000 kg can be transported 35 m and a load of 500 kg can be transported 45 meters.
