First Maeda CC1908 in the UK sold to Jones Crawler Cranes
UK rental company Jones Crawler Cranes is set to take delivery of the first 8.1 tonne Maeda CC1908 mini crawler crane in the UK next week, having taken delivery of the UK’s first 4.9 tonne Maeda CC985 last year.
Supplied through UK distributor Kranlyft UK placed in Bristol, the CC1908 is the manufacturer’s largest mini crawler crane to date, with a five section main boom offering a 20.1 metre maximum tip height and a maximum radius of 19.2 metres. Supplied with the 1.5 tonne fully hydraulic luffing jib – which provides a tip height of 26 metres – features include Stage V diesel power, a 3.5 tonne pick & carry capacity and a 360 degree camera system.
Superb quality and impressive boom length
Owner Mark Jones said: “We’re very proud to have the first Maeda CC1908 telescopic crawler crane in our fleet. Jones Crawler Cranes is at the forefront of the latest emissions standards and this machine has a Tier 5 engine meaning it can work anywhere in the UK. The build quality of the Maeda is superb and never lets you down. Furthermore, the boom length is greater than normal at 17.7 metres coupled with the fully telescopic luffing fly jib and the zero tail swing, increasing its utilisation on any job.”
Based in Shaftsebury, Dorset, Jones Crawler Cranes runs a fleet of Maeda, Hitachi, Sennenbogen, Sumitomo and Mantis telescopic and lattice boom crawler cranes with capacities from five to 140 tonnes.
